My pledges to you
Modern politics should be transparent, honest and efficient.
If selected as your Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate
- I WILL immediately move to the constituency and be a full-time candidate. I WILL use the same services that you do, be visible in the community and support local events.
- I WILL organise ward by ward walkabouts to meet as many people as possible and hold regular surgeries and public meetings so that residents can raise any issue they would like with me.
- I WILL regularly meet individuals and organisations within the constituency across each policy area in order to keep up to date with the latest issues regarding business and employment, education, health, crime, housing and transport.
- I WILL promptly deal with all emails, letters and telephone calls that I receive.
- I WILL work closely with Association Officers, Councillors and Party Activists to build a strong campaign based on local needs and local concerns.
If I am subsequently elected to represent you at the forthcoming General Election
- I WILL always put the interests of constituents first above my own or my Party’s.
- I WILL publish, in detail, all expenses, accommodation and staffing costs on my website and I will not claim for any ancillary items such as food, furniture or household goods, nor will I seek to profit from parliamentary expenses.
- I WILL meet my own tax liabilities, such as stamp duty, and not claim them from the taxpayer.
- I WILL serve all my constituents equally, regardless of their politics.
- I WILL never promise what I cannot deliver,
- I WILL tell people my real views, even when I know they will disagree with me.
